Guide Me Home – GLuxArt

Why did you pick this picture?

This Painting Always brings a sense of calm and peace over me when I look at it. It is one of my own favourites. I love big moons and the way they reflect off of Dark oceans. Roses are one of my favourite flowers and old ships just scream fantasy to me.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

This painting was Inspired by my emotional ties to my home. When away from home I never want to come back but really like most people I always see nothing but beauty upon returning to where I really belong. If home is where the heart is then home is where all the beauty and wonder in the world also is to you. The lighthouse is a symbol of that beauty always there to guide you back home and the blue roses symbolises that bitter sweet love you have for the things you leave behind from your adventures and travels.

What does this art mean to you?

This piece reminds me that even though my dreams keep me home bound most of the time, really home is where I want to be more than anything. There may be many places in the world I want to see but my home will always be where my heart is so it helps me from feeling bogged down in the solitude of my job.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I spend everyday channeling my hopes, emotions and dreams into creating Art and raising my two beautiful little girls. I am a spiritualist and I believe in all sort of mystical things so me and my children have quite the magical bond and they are my biggest fans. I read tarots in my spare time and enjoy going on long walks to clear my mind and to connect with nature whenever I can. My work and children keep me home a lot but Art will always be a reminder of all the beauty in the world I have yet to see and be inspired by.

What more can you tell us about your art?

My art is and always has been my passion since a young age. It seems to manifest itself really. I don’t use reference photos and I haven’t had art lessons. I just paint what I see in my head to the best of my abilities and as time goes on I notice they are becoming more and more detailed. Its usually later that I realise why I painted the piece, most of the time I’m in a bubble when I paint. My art excites me and keeps my dreams alive so it means the world to me and I want to share that with the world and encourage others to get excited about their dreams and to keep them alive always.
