Why did you pick this picture?
I was really happy with the way this tattoo turned out.
Where did the idea for this art come from?
a previous client came up with the inspiration for this piece. I first did a portrait of Ada Lovelace, the turn of the century mathematician, my client requested the portrait look like it downloaded incorrectly or glitch-ed. once i did that portrait the client who got the Frida Kahlo requested i do my version of Frida.
What does this art mean to you?
I like this art because i really like certain elements of faces and this allows me to do multiple eyes, noses, mouths…etc and add variation like an oil painting.
What can you tell us about yourself?
I have been tattooing for over 14 years in 7 different countries. I’ve tattooed all over the united states and have had a base of operations out of the San Francisco bay area for the last 6 years. I’ve studied classic painting techniques and love to create and work with people as living, moving and evolving canvases.
What more can you tell us about your art?
my real art is the people who wear it. it is such an honor to be a part of people’s lives. to get to know some one and contribute to their expression of self! i’m humbled to have met so many amazing wonderful and thriving individuals who dare to be a little different.
