Fallen Angel – konjyouki

Why did you pick this picture?

I pick this because this piece pictured between how we wanted to be and how our current conditions are. We strive and fight to get a good life in every aspect possible, but the world we live in sometimes (many times) prohibit or hinder with our goals yet we should and we need to keep fighting no matter how hard it is.

Where did the idea come from?

I had this idea for a while but never really thought I would transferred it to canvas. I wanted to illustrate between our frustration towards problems in our life and hope that emerge because we aren’t giving up, and I depict it with a fallen angel;

The dark and bigger wing depicted our problems in life and how much we struggle to get through it, how sometimes we feel like giving up because we feel our problems was too big for us to handle. The light and smaller wing depicted by the time we keep struggling and not giving up, we can see a glimmer of hope that emerge and will get bigger as long as we have hope. The scars depicted that even thought we got hurt and there’s scars leave behind from our past, we are strong enough to keep fighting.

What does this art mean to you?

To me it means strength. I want to be a strong person who keep fighting no matter how hard it is to keep moving forward. There’re countless obstacles in our lives that sometimes killed our enthusiasm and motivation, but I want this piece to keep reminding me to keep fighting and never giving up to anything.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m a self-taught artist. I literally just started my art journey 5 years ago, so I may not be that experienced in this field but I always wanted to strive for the better. I’m a gore and fluffy artist by most, so you can expect those from my art, although I just recently started to post my fluffy pieces.

What more can you tell us about your art?

I’m not good with words, thus my art is representations of what I wanted to share and delivering values to my viewers. Every pieces I created has meanings and stories behind it, sometimes it shows how I feel/think towards something, sometimes how I feel/think towards myself and events around me.
