Why did you pick this picture?

I love blurring the line between the reality and the drawn, so I drew myself in small standing on a sheet op paper and added a real pair of glasses in the photocomposition. The illusion then appears I’m standing on the paper, drawing the glasses.

Where did the idea come from?

I’m never sure where I get my inspiration from. I draw a lot of people, animals and objects. My main goal is to inspire others and to have then look twice at my artwork and still not fully understand it.

What does your art mean to you?

A lot! Besides a way to express my thought and the way I see and explore things it is such a good way to clear my mind. I have all these images and ideas constantly in my head and therefor art is a good way to keep me sane. It also the reason I master multuple styles. I love to explore everything.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I am 35 years old, I was born and still live in Netherlands. Besides art my other passion is music and travelling.

What more can you tell us about your art?

As I mentioned earlier, I have different kind of styles. The main style is my 3d drawing or optical illusionism. It is a combination of drawing and photography. I like to create drawing, which appear to be real and 3d when photographed from an angle. I also create 3d paintings, popart paintings with a dash of sarcasm/humor, Framed Realism, 3d artwork on different objects and much more. Every styles has been displayed on my website http://www.ramon-bruin.com
