Ariel and Water Type Pokemon Disney Crossover – emilymeganx_art

Why did you pick this picture?

I’m trying to work with more than just one medium now, so I like how I used watercolour for the background and prismacolor pencils for the main subjects!

Where did the idea for this art come from?

I love anime and have always loved Disney since I can remember – and Ariel is my favourite Disney character! I wanted to mix the two together and thought this was a pretty good crossover idea 🙂

What does this art mean to you?

It’s nostalgic as well as personal I think, as I said before, my love for Disney has been all my life! My fondness for Pokemon started a little later. but they’re still part of my childhood and I’m happy to bring them together!

What can you tell us about yourself?

Where to start! When I finished school I started to pursue a career in photography as I thought that’s what I wanted to do in life, but this year I started to concentrate on my drawing and now I feel like I want to be a concept designer for game characters! So now I’m in college doing a degree in 3D animation for games 🙂 I also love cats!

What more can you tell us about your art?

Well I’ve been drawing all my life! In year 2 my classmates used to ask me to draw them dinosaurs and such for them to colour in 🙂 my mum and dad are both incredible artists so I love that I’m following in their footsteps. I love watching and drawing anime/cartoons, as they really inspire me to pick up a pencil and draw. I want to start working in more mediums, especially digital art. I just want to progress and improve everyday!
