The Hanging Man – danny3052

Why did you pick this picture?

Although I love my portrait, drawings & paintings, I decided to go with this piece because I feel it portrays a powerful message of mental health.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

The idea for this piece was influenced by the daily battles that we all face within our minds and I wanted to put that across through my art work.

What does this art mean to you?

This art means that the awareness of mental health cannot always be seen and i hope that I can help and inspire others through my art.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I am 26 years old from Manchester, England.
I have always been into art and I love being creative. I first did graphic design at college, then I went on to do a degree in animation and illustration. After university, I landed an apprenticeship in tattooing and I now own my own studio of which I am eternally grateful to have achieved.
I feel lucky to have a career doing what I love and for the support I have received from friends/family

What more can you tell us about your art?

A lot of my art work is portrait and realism. I usually work with graphite, charcoal and I prefer to paint with acrylics.

My favourite style of art is black and grey, although I do love art in colour every once in awhile.

I am always looking for inspiration. I like to push myself further with every piece I do whilst always looking for ways to improve.
