Set free – hiitsfi

Why did you pick this picture?
I picked this picture because I think it’s important to share the idea of freedom. So many of us are wrapped up in our lives and we fail to see the bigger picture, that we can escape and be set free like a bird.
Where did the idea for this art come from?

Mainly my inspiration was a Tumblr post I spotted where birds are being set free from a cage and this led me to think about how we could free ourselves. We all conform to how society wants us to act but if we simply freed our minds, we too could be free as a bird.
What does this art mean to you?

this art is very important to me, because although simple, it has a deeper meaning behind it as I believe everyone should be free and be able to achieve, leaving behind the labels society attaches to us for being different.
What can you tell us about yourself?

I am a 15 year old, aspiring artist from the UK and although never studying it at school, I’ve always had an interest in the world of art.
What more can you tell us about yourself?

I don’t do art for the sake of it, all of my pieces are very personal to me and I find it meditative to pour out my emotions through my art. I’ve only just started posting my art on Instagram but I would love to reach a wider audience and to get people thinking about life and how we are taught to think, and also I would like to set up an Etsy shop where people can request me to do art that they can purchase. Would love it if you supported me in my journey!
