Liberate Vos Ex Inferis – engraversdungeon

Why did you pick this picture?
I picked this one because, for me, is one of my best work so far.
Where did the idea for this art come from?

To create this piece I was inspired by old human anatomy drawings, death and Event Horizon (for me, one of the best Sci Fi movies ever)
What does this art mean to you?

For me is a way to express myself in a free way and being able to transfer my drawings on wood is like giving them life, make them last a lifetime.
What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m drawing since little. I was always attracted by horror, skulls, morbid and oddities, I am also a huge fan of movies. I always did it as a hobby but two years ago I had the opportunity to see a Laser Machine and came to me the idea of making the wooden posters you can see on my page. Having a solid background in AutoCad and Photoshop I succeed to combine my drawings with some intricate and exquisite details and transfer them, with my laser, on solid pinewood.
What more can you tell us about your art?

I have also developed my own special wood treatment which is a mixture of excellent wax for wood and the best oil I could find on the market, which not only will highlight the contrast, details and shadows of the image but also has an antibacterial role. The piece is finally varnished to protect and keep the art in great condition for a long life. With some exquisite intricate details, each poster is a piece that you’ll be able to keep for a lifetime.

This entirely unique in design wooden wall panels are a sophisticated and understated blend of the old and new, the natural and scientific, and basically they belong to any home, office or man cave and surely they’ll make a conversation piece.

One of the best part is the fact that every poster is totally unique, because the pattern and grain of the wood is never the same
