Down for you – k.konevaart

Why did you pick this picture?

This painting is one of mu favorites because it expresses passion and vitality. It feels like a genuine overcoming of the ego, showing tenderness and compassion for another human being. A glimpse of true love where one puts another before himself.

Where did the idea come from?

The idea came from the magnificent Italian artist Matteo Pugliese. The first time I got familiar with his works I was moved and inspired to create and abstract interpretation with oils on canvas.

What does this picture mean to you?

This art means a lot to me as it is one of the first human figures I painted with oils. It is a part from my progress towards getting to know and explore more closely the beauty of the human body and its curves. It had educational and spiritual contribution for my development as an artist.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I am 24 years old, self-taught artist from Sofia, Bulgaria. Conformism has pushed me to study business in American College of Thessaloniki. After some years in the business community I returned to my true life purpose

What more can you tell us about your art?

I love the creative process. As an artist I dont limit myself to pinting something concrete. Getting away from the straitjacket and the limitation of concentration is more fun. This non-elective relationship with art gives me the freedom of not having a specific goal that needs to be achieved. For me painting looks more like a game than means to an end. Painting itself is my goal.
