Why did you pick this picture?
I go through phases as an artist and I am currently in my “Mandala Phase”. I am also trying to get better at creating seamless pattern designs. This piece represents one of my best attempts at both so far and has received a lot of positive feedback, so I thought it would be a good choice to share with you all!
Where did the idea for this art come from?
I gather most of my inspiration from fashion and trends. I mainly browse Pinterest and Instagram too see what is currently trending and then create my own unique versions from elements I am drawn to. Mandalas are trendy right now but are also a great therapy tool and drawing them helps me to calm my mind and my anxiety.
What does this art mean to you?
As mentioned above I use art as a therapy tool to help me reduce stress and anxiety. Mandalas are great for this, so each mandala in the pattern represents the release of my stress and anxiety at a particular moment in time.
